OVERNIGHT/DAY SESSIONS
July 6 through July 8, 2012
FOR BOYS IN GRADES 6 THROUGH 12
Enrollment Limited ... Register Early
ENROLLMENT LIMITED REGISTER EARLY
We are very pleased with the success of Northeast L/LB Clinic in that we have increased our enrollment since the origin of the camp. Therefore, WE FELT WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO OFFER LINEMAN AND LINEBACKERS THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A SPECIALTY TYPE CLINIC. Based on our past and present success, it is important that all candidates apply early to guarantee a spot at the clinic.
Why Should I Attend Lineman Linebacker Clinic?
OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE LINEMAN and LINEBACKERS are also skilled athletes. Not only are these the most unsung positions on the field, but they also contribute the most to the success or failure of each game. Great demands are placed on these positions. Discipline, perseverance, repetition, and understanding the total concepts of Offensive Line techniques and Defensive Line reads are necessary to be able to meet the great expectations which come with these positions. In most high school situations pre-season or in-season team practice cannot devote the individualized attention and concentration necessary for ultimate success. If your expectations of yourself go BEYOND being AVERAGE then this is the clinic for YOU.
EXCLUSIVE concentration on offensive and defensive linemen skills and techniques will be taught by skilled coaches who have achieved measures of greatness in these two specific areas, both as players and coaches. Each athlete will receive a total football experience: development of confidence and competence, direction for proper training and conditioning, understand the importance of academic grades for college recruitment and scholarship opportunities as well as the NCAA Clearinghouse rules and regulations. College training films, lectures and chalk talks will also be utilized to make you a better Offensive/Defensive Lineman.
NEW
Delaware Wing T System Clinic Option for Offensive Lineman.
For those players who play in a Delaware Wing T System, the clinic will place strong emphasis on wing T fundamentals, coupled with pro pass protection and an inside zone technique to compliment the Wing T. Areas covered for offensive lineman will be stance, approach, contact, follow through and finish. Shoulder skills will be taught in sequence surface, strike a blow, step and hit, and run and hit techniques. Furthermore, players will drill the on block, fire step, reach step and pull step. Single blocks and technique emphasized will be on block, fire block, reach block, gap block, down block, trap block and log block. Combination blocks such as post lead, cross block and scoop will be taught. Moreover, the 20 series, 30 series and 80 series will be drilled for technique, assignment and execution.
